Method:
- In a pan add olive oil and add the finely chopped garlic.
- Chop the red chili and add them too.
- Cook for a minute and add the chopped tomato.
- Saute for 2 minutes. Add the pasta sauce to this now. I used store bought pasta sauce. You can add home made pasta sauce.
- If adding tomato puree, add oregano to this. Do not add too much, just 1-2 pinch will be fine.
- Mix well.
- Add sugar and pepper powder to this.
- Mix well and bring this to a boil. Keep the flame low and cook for 10 minutes.
- Switch off the flame. Arrabbiata sauce is ready.
- Let’s move on to make baked pasta.
- Cook the pasta in enough water as per the instructions in the packet. Reserve 1/4 cup of pasta cooked water and drain the excess water.
- Keep this aside.
- Blanch the broccoli florets. Just put them in hot water for a minute and take it out.
- In a pan add the arrabbiatta sauce, olives and the blanched broccoli .
- Add the fresh cream to this. This is optional. I wanted a creamy texture so i added this. You can add white sauce also instead of cream.
- Add the reserved water, which we kept aside.
- Mix well and add the cooked pasta too.
- Mix well.
- Transfer this to the oven friendly bowl.
- Top it with mozzarella cheese.
- Preheat the oven at 160 degrees for 5 minutes.
- Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes, till the cheese melts and turns golden brown.
- Take out from the oven and rest this for 5 minutes.
- Cut and serve in portions.
- You can also bake in small oven safe bowls and serve individually.

I was just wondering as to how baked version differs in taste from the stove top version?
