Best homemade hot chocolate recipe, yes that’s what kids told me when I served them the hot chocolate. Creamy cafe style hot chocolate recipe, perfect for this winter holiday season. Hot chocolate recipe with full video and step by step instructions.
This is a stove top version of Hot chocolate recipe, made with easily available ingredients at home. I have posted chocolate semiya kheer recipe a few months back. It was super creamy and enjoyed by everyone at home. I adapted the same method of adding chocolate chips in this hot chocolate. This gave a nice smooth and silky texture to the Hot chocolate. This tasted similar to the cafe style Hot chocolate.
Even I served a portion of it later after chilling it in the fridge. It was too good and kids really enjoyed it. Even though I used low fat milk the hot chocolate was very creamy.

What a great idea to add cornstarch as a thickener! I tired this recipe with plant milk, and it came out very well indeed. It reminded me of hot chocolate in Europe, so thick and creamy.
Thank you
