Cauliflower sandwich recipe | Indian style cauliflower sandwich recipe – Cauliflower cheese sandwich recipe with full video and step by step pictures.
Sandwiches are always loved by both the kids at home. I always try to make some variety of stuffing inside the sandwich and make it more kids friendly. As Cauliflower is in season now, I thought I will try out a sandwich with cauliflower | Gobi stuffing.
Even you can make this same with left over Aloo gobi masala. You can roast the cauliflower in oven too and make this filling. I just followed an easy version. I chopped the cauliflower florets into small and made the filling. Alternatively you can grated the cauliflower and make grated cauliflower sandwich.
You can add garam masala or pav bhaji masala or chaat masala to this filling to enhance the taste. Also you can add frozen green peas and make it as Gobi matar masala sandwich.

Cauliflower sandwich recipe
Ingredients
- 12 Bread slices
- 2 cups finely chopped cauliflower
- 1 onion
- 2 tbsp chopped garlic
- ½ cup capsicum
- 1 tbsp chili sauce
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder
- Salt as needed
- ¾ cup grated cheese
- 1 tbsp oil
- Butter to toast the bread
- ¼ cup Green chutney
Instructions
- In a pan add 1 tbsp oil and add the chopped onions and chopped garlic.
- Saute till translucent.
- Add a little salt.
- Add the chopped capsicum to this.
- Saute this for a minute.
- Wash the cauliflower well and soak it in hot water for 5 minutes.
- Drain the water and add it to the pan.
- Add red chili sauce, red chili powder, and salt.
- Mix well and let this cook for 5-7 minutes.
- Switch off the flame.
- Take a slice of bread and spread butter on one side.
- Spread green chutney on the other side.
- Place 2-3 tbsp of cauliflower filling on it.
- Sprinkle some grated cheese.
- Spread butter on another bread
- Place it over the filling, keeping the buttered side up.
- Toast on both sides in medium flame.
- Also you can make this sandwich on a sandwich maker too.
- Repeat this for all the bread slices.
- Cut them into half and serve them.
