Channar puli recipe | Diwali sweet recipe made using Paneer, sugar, maida, and condensed milk as a main ingredient.
We always make Gulab jamun for Diwali. It is one of the must recipes in most Indian homes for Diwali. This Channar puli is a popular Bengali sweet, looks similar to gulab jamun. I have tried khoya gulab jamun and posted the recipe too in Jeyashris kitchen.
Though it looks similar to Gulab jamun we don’t use any ready mix or khoya or milk powder to make this. We are using paneer, maida, and condensed milk to make the dough. This Channar puli turned out extremely well and the whole family and friends loved it.
This will not turn out super soft like Gulab jamuns. But the texture of paneer and the sweetness of the condensed milk takes it to a different level.

Notes
- Unlike gulab jamuns it won’t absorb the syrup so quickly and will become soft.
- It tasted so yum and soft the next day.
- Also, it will not turn out too soft like Khoya gulab jamuns.
- Ensure the paneer is not too moist, if it is moist pat dry in a kitchen towel.
- The taste of this channar puli is too yum and a must-try Diwali sweet recipe.

Wow looks super delicious ? Thanks for sharing?
Is there any substitute for maida ( gluten free recipe )?
Atta will make it hard. May be you can try adding milk powder but for binding atleast add 1 tbsp of corn flour or maida. But persoanlly haven’t tried this.
