Green apple puliyodarai | apple pulihora – Easy and interesting puliyodarai recipe using apples – Recipe with full video and step-by-step pictures.
Puliyodarai | pulihora is a popular rice recipe from South India. I have already posted few versions of puliyodarai like Kalayana puliyodarai, kovil puliyodarai, Andhra pulihora and puliyodarai podi too. I have tried Methi leaves puliyodarai too. This apple puliyodarai is in my to-do list for a very long time.
Usually, I buy the Granny Smith green apple to add to the green smoothie. Also, we make instant green apple pickle, which is my personal favorite too. Once I saw one of my friends make this apple puliyodarai and posted it on Instagram. He didn’t share the recipe but the idea inspired me a lot.
As we are planning for Navaratri, I thought I would share this Green apple puliyodarai recipe today. I tried this a few days back at home and totally loved it. You can use red apples too. Do try this for Navaratri neivdyam or you can make this for guests too. Rice can be replaced with millet, poha or sevai.
