Aloo chana chaat is a popular chaat recipe and I have posted in Jeyashri’s kitchen long back. This time I wanted to try Chana chaat with Macaroni pasta. We make Indian style Masala pasta using Macaroni pasta.
I have posted a few fusion chaat recipes in Jeyashri’s kitchen. This Macaroni chana chaat is a super hit among kids at home. This is a perfect evening snack and a healthy one too. I didn’t add boiled potatoes in this but you can add 1 boiled and cubed potato. For this chaat recipe, you can add the chutneys and other masala powders as per your taste and preference.
If you have the chutneys in hand and keep other things ready, just you have to assemble before serving. Even when you have guests at home you can serve this as a starter. Just keep the chana and pasta readily cooked and chutneys ready.

Macaroni chana chaat recipe
Macaroni chana chaat
Ingredients
- Macaroni pasta 1 cup uncooked
- Chana 2 cups cooked
- Green chutney 3 tsp
- Sweet chutney 3 tsp
- Chaat masala 1/2 tsp
- Red chili powder 1/4 tsp
- Salt as needed
- Kala namak 1/2 tsp
- Coriander leaves few
- Onion 1
- Tomato 1
- Sev for garnishing
Instructions
- Soak the chana overnight and pressure cook for 4 whistles.
- Drain the water and keep aside
- Cook 1 cup of macaroni pasta with a little salt, till it becomes soft. It came up to 2 cups of cooked pasta.
- Drain the water and keep aside.
- Let’s assemble the chaat now.
- In a wide bowl add the cooked chana, cooked macaroni into it.
- Add green chutney, sweet chutney, red chili powder, chaat masala, kala namak (black salt), salt, lemon juice, chopped onions, and tomato.
- Mix well.
- Add finely chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
- Garnish with some coriander leaves and sev.
- Serve immediately after garnishing.
Notes
