Ingredients

  • 15 cardamom
  • 10 cloves
  • ½ tsp pepper powder
  • ¼ tsp fennel seeds
  • ½ tsp Dry ginger powder

For making tea

  • 1 cup low fat milk
  • 2 tsp tea powder
  • ½ tsp sugar | jaggery
  • ¼ tsp chai masala powder

Instructions

  • Gather all the ingredients.
  • If you have taken this out from the refrigerator, dry roast this for 2 minutes.
  • Grind this into a powder.
  • If it is slightly coarse also ok.
  • Chai masala is ready.

Let’s make chai using homemade chai masala.

  • Boil 1 cup of milk in a saucepan.
  • Add 2 tsp of tea powder to this.
  • Add ¼ tsp of chai masala powder.
  • Mix well, let this boil for 2-3 minutes in medium flame.
  • Stir in between.
  • Now add sugar | jaggery to this as per your taste.
  • Mix well.
  • When it comes to one boil, switch off the flame.
  • Filter the tea.
  • Masala chai is ready.

1. You can double or triple the quantity.
2. Chai masala can be stored in an air tight container, do not keep inside the freezer.
