In a pan add 1 tsp oil and add the chopped spinach, garlic and cumin seeds.
Saute this for 2-3 minutes till the spinach gets cooked. Let this retain it’s green color.
Take out and grind this into a smooth paste by adding little water.
In the same pan add 3 tsp of oil and add the mustard seeds, urad dal, chana dal and peanuts.
Saute till the dal turns golden brown.
Now add the onions to this.
Add salt to this and cook till it becomes translucent.
Now add the ground paste.
Saute for 2 minutes.
Now add the cooked rice to this.
Mix well evenly.
Add 1 tsp of ghee to this.
Mix well. Keerai sadam is ready.
Serve with vadam or onion raita.

1. You can use Indian palak, arai keerai or mulai keerai, or round spinach too.2. Methi leaves | vendaya keerai won’t suit this keerai sadam.3. Parboiled carrots and peas can be added to this keerai sadam.4. You can use basmati rice for making this keerai sadam.
