Drain the water and grind this into a smooth paste along with 2 green chili.
Add little water while grinding. Let this be a thick batter.
Transfer this to a bowl.
Add finely chopped onions, grated carrot, chopped capsicum, coriander leaves, red chili powder, garam masala, turmeric powder and salt.
Mix well.
Heat a pan and add little butter on it. Spread this using on the tawa.
Butter one side of the bread and add 1 tbsp of the moong dal mixture.
Spread this on the bread evenly.
Place the battered portion on the tawa.
Now spread butter on the other side of the tawa.
Spread 1 tbsp of batter on this.
Once the bottom portion of the bread is toasted, flip the bread.
Let this cook in a medium flame.
Once it is cooked, take out from the tawa.
Cut this into square or triangle.
Serve hot with tomato ketchup.

Always keep the batter little thick, if it is watery it is difficult to spread on the bread
2. You can spread a layer of green chutney and then spread the moong dal batter for a spicy variation.
3. Moong dal toast tastes best when served hot.
